No wonder John Locke likes the Island, his real life was eF’ed up.
So we got a few more deets on the life of John Locke “pre-crash.” He was a clerk in a Toys ‘R Us. When born he was given up for adoption by a crazy woman who says that he has no father and was conceived by immaculate conception.
Of course Locke hires a PI to find out more about his parents which leads him to the home of wealthy Anthony Cooper who he bonds with him on geese hunting trips. Of course Anthony tricks Locke into giving him a Kidney for a transplant that he needs. Locke is devastated and his “mother” tells him that it was a setup form the start since she needed the money and Cooper paid her to participate in the scam. So we are not really sure who poor Locke’s parents are.
Once again another man on this Island with daddy issues. I bet most of the writers on this show are men.
Meanwhile back on Lost Island, Locke and Boone still can’t seem to to break the glass seal on their mysterious hatch. Boone wants to give up but Locke tells him to be patient because the “Island will tell them how.”
After a prophetic dream, Locke leads Boone through the jungle to an old plane wreck. For some reason all of this is causing Locke to loose is ability to walk. In the dream, Boone is also covered with blood so of course Boone ends up crushed in the wreakege of the plane as it falls off the cliff. Locke is devastated and manages to carry his bloodied friend back to the caves, but disappears again to scream at the hatch feeling betrayed by the Island.
As he cries on the hatch it lights up. Victory is ours!
But wait, there’s more…
When Boone is investigating the old plane wreck, he discovers it full of crates of heroin (expect a Charlie relapse) as well as a fully functioning radio. He is sending out a “May Day” message as the plane falls off the cliff with him inside it.
