Dear LOST, Remember this character on your show called “Claire?”

Yes, I fear that LOST will become just another soap opera. How can life go on when you know that there are crazy people living on the island who kidnapped one of your friends? The only answer is that Claire will one day return transformed into a diabolical creature who will make them sorry they ever knew her.  Perhaps in Season 6??? I think this happened once on “As the World Turns.”

So everyone has forgotten Claire and despite what happened to her and Charlie they seem perfectly fine frolicking in the jungle by themselves, planting gardens, flirting, and studying maps designed by armed french women that are still alive someplace and wouldn’t think twice about laying a few rounds through their map stealing guts. I know this is TV, but c’mon people we have some continuity problems here. Don’t make me cancel my iTunes subscription…

OK, let me regroup here… in this episode… Locke leads Boone on a vision quest by busting his head open, splattering a mash of hallucinogens on his wound and leaving him tied to a log in the jungle.

Boone hears Shannon screaming and tears through the ropes to rescue her. Afterwards the “monster” chases them and sucks Shannon away splattering her body across the stream of rocks. But none of this happens before we see a series of Boone’s flashbacks where he recalls the many times he has had to rescue Shannon from various boyfriends by paying them off. Haha! Joke’s on Boone. Shannon has been orchestrating these rescues for the cash. She knows that Boone secretly loves her (they are step siblings.) In Australia she gets drunk and they get it on. Technically not incest, but, you know…

So anyway after the monster attack Boone follows a trail of blood to her body. She is dead as dead can be. Or is she???

Back at camp Locke reveals that the whole thing happened in his mind (or something) and yes Shannon is alive and well and flirting with Sayid.

A couple more updates below. Sheesh!:

asian-galThe Korean woman (yes she confirmed it) admits to Kate that she speaks English but makes her promise not to tell anyone. Kate says, “Don’t worry, I can keep a secret.” Um, *a* secret??

black-manTowards the end of the show we see Michael looking into a little brown wooden box. This is probably a set-up for the next episode. We haven’t learned much about Michael yet.

I am starting to lose patience but yes, I will continue on to episode 14…

  1. The first 3 seasons have a couple of filler episodes, but hang in there, the mindf*cks are just starting.

  2. Thanks Dave. That’s what I am hoping for.
